a piece of my sky.

took this on the bus ride back home from my school's leadership camp. i love how the clouds look, they remind me of the hashima my mom cooks. i love nature and im always fascinated by how nature seems so beautiful, untouched. i love the sky and the sea especially. the sound of crashing waves against the shore, coupled with the refreshing water engulfing me in it is the best remedy for me. renewal. rebirth.

lots of thoughts, unspoken words and unexpressed emotions. where do i start? they say opportunities don't know twice on your door. or rather, the same opportunity doesn't knock twice on your door. once you miss the ferry, it's gone. so, why cling onto something that doesn't belong anymore? since it's gone, it must have the intention of leaving. why keep trying at it?

relationships. i think it's the most complex thing in the world. in today's society, with the availability of technology, how true are relationships? 'confirm' or 'not now'? with the click of the mouse, many of us have accepted friend requests from online 'friends' whom we've not even met before. yes, this facebook thing is called a social networking tool. but... how often do we even communicate, i mean chat, with this so-called new 'friend'? and why do we need a 'friend' whom we've not even met before, will not be meeting (if this person is in another country which we don't even visit?) and will possibly never meet in this lifetime?

to find out more about other cultures?
to have a free host should we happen to visit the country?

but... how much can we trust this person?

with technology, the issue of fidelity comes up. i read from one of my friend's facebook status which was about whether porn-watching is an infidelity. temptations are everywhere. let's not talk about porn-watching. there are other clandestine dealings which has to do with internet chats as well, especially targetted at the young, the naive, the lost ones, the ones who are beyond redemption. but there's no way to put a stop to all these. there are just too many wolves behind the screens. which is the one holding onto the key to pave our success and which is the one with evil motives masked beneath the screen chatting with their preys?

we never know. life seems to be like a chess game. do we have the integrity to finish the game without cheating?

we celebrated our 4th year anniversary yesterday. :) it started off with lunch at my house. mommy and i both cooked. heh. i decided to cook a dish every saturday since it's somewhat the 'holidays' now. :))

darling surprised me with a bouquet of 3 sunflowers before we set off for vivo. so sweet of him. :)

on our way to vivo...

my beloved and very precious miu miu. :p

we had dinner at Jewel Box at Mt Faber. whee! i was so elated because i had never dined there before! we rarely splurge on food. ;( but it's okay, we are not the high-life kind of people.

my darling~

Sapphire. where we had our dinner. :)

honestly, the food here at Sapphire is splendid. it didn't take too long for the food or wine to arrive. also, both the sirloin steak and my seafood were just nice, and not over-cooked at all! :)) im very satisfied with the food here, as compared to my previous experience at the Lighthouse @ Fullerton Hotel where i treated darling for his birthday. i felt the food there was just so-so, even though it's quite a high-end Italian restaurant.

anyway, back to the food at Sapphire. the pictures will do the talking.

the succulent and delicious Sirloin steak!

my grilled squid and tiger prawns in soy sauce.

the Sirloin steak he had was very juicy and yummy. even i, the not-a-beef-fanatic, fell in love with the steak. heh. the grilled exterior of the steak which had a nice slight charred taste with the overall tenderness of the steak and the perfectly concocted sauce, was really heavenly. for my grilled squid and tiger prawns, i was a little hesitant on ordering this initially as i was afraid the portion would be rather small. however, when it arrived, i was very certain the portion is just right for me. :)

upon sinking my teeth into the squid, i was pleasantly surprised. the squid was not tough at all, it was chewy and tender! i've never tasted grilled squids which are not over-cooked and as tender as this! the tiger prawns, needless to say, were fantastic as well since im an avid prawn lover. :)

all in all, it was a nice and delightful dining experience at Sapphire at Mt Faber. i would go back there again, anytime! the food is good and the wine is not too expensive as well. also, the view from the top coupled with the lighted cable cars was captivating and enchanting.

thanks darling. :)) happy 4 years anniversary, tomorrow! haha.

the pink christmas deco in Takashimaya!

I LOVE THE BEARS!! i think pink is a very refreshing colour for christmas. :))

anyway, darling and i were near Metro Paragon when i saw the huge 20% off signboard! and the first thing that came to my mind was ETTUSAIS!! haha. i ran up the escalator excitedly to lay my hands on the new foundation which i had been contemplating on buying. ;p

anyway, before the SA served me, i saw two girls with their purchases at the Ettusais counter. but, what caught my eye wasn't the two girls or their purchases. it was the 2011 Ettusais organizer! Woohoo!! i have this soft spot for Ettusais gifts with purchases. they are all soooo cute and irresistable.

i ended up buying the new Ettusais duo foundation, the casing (separately, because my colour shade doesn't come with the casing in a package unfortunately -_-"), and the usual make-up base. :)

my Ettusais haul! :p

i love the pink casing of the duo foundation. it's so girly and sweet. i know it's so unlike me but still... im a girl at heart yah? anyway, i've tried the Zero Pore Pact, Sparkling Pact, up till now. love the sparkling pact as it has a sheer coverage, but i have a love-hate relationship with the glitters. on days when my skin is very sensitive, it tends to react with the glitters in the foundation a little. but still, i use it alternately with other foundations. so when the Duo foundation came out, i was elated.

Zero Pore Pact & Sparkling Pact

so anyway, i shall try out the Duo foundation and see how it goes. i hope its as good as it claims!
