darling surprised me with this perfume for an early xmas prezzie! *grins*

bcos i told him i like the scent of it, while testing some fragrances at the airport when we were in KL. it smells a little like benefit's but is stronger and more lasting! :)

and the bottle is just so cute. :p

was at des' house today. wanted to do some work but ended up slacking and sleeping my saturday away. :p

tails with her green bone toy. :p tails has way too many toys...

im way too bored... lols.

we went to town in the evening and had dinner at fish & co. anyway, they changed the stuffs in their seafood platter for one and two. the miserable and scrawny prawns are now substituted by 2 huge prawns in my seafood platter for one, while i think there should be 4 huge prawns in the seafood platter for two which we didn't order. with the changes, the prices increased as well. lols. but nonetheless, the huge prawns were yummilicious (yummy + delicious)!

after dinner, we were heading off to my usual tailor at lucky plaza when we heard an acapello performing behind the HUGE christmas tree but we couldn't see them from our position. so we decided to watch the performance and i got a huge surprise when i finally saw the performing group. it's vocaluptuous, and Timothy, my friend, is in it (the last guy on the right)! :p

vocaluptuous performing at paragon. i caught this with my SE G900 with a little zoom, cos i didn't bring my cam. :(

anyway, they sing really well. :p and though i know they've had a lot of public performances, it's the first time i heard them sing. and im very very impressed. think i might go buy their album. :p so it's not always only r&b for me yah? for more info on them, check out their website here.

meanwhile, im contemplating on getting a new phone. thinking of getting Sony Ericsson's Aino in white, cos it suits me A LOT. it has a 8 megapixel cam (with LED flash, sadly), 8GB memory card (which means i can store lots of songs and pictures in it) and WIFI (i definitely need this). furthermore, the screen is wayyy bigger than my current G900's. i should be able to view webpages better with it huh? oh not forgetting it's only partially touchscreen! it's good for an idiot like me, cos a lot of touchscreen phones have difficulty in detecting my finger. i wonder why...

Sony Ericsson Aino

let's see... if i get Aino, i know i could just dump my canon ixus 80 and ipod out of my bag if im out with my gfs/ bf for dinner. sounds cool huh? since im quite a minimalist... hee. ohmygawd, i really want this for christmas! santa, can hear me??

some stuffs i've bought recently and that i like...

1) Elianto Miracle Multiplex BB cream in #03 Sandy Beige

i know this brand sounds damn ulu, but i happened to read a review about it and decided to purchase it. i think it's quite a good bb cream cos i like it's colour and texture. it has 3 shades and cos i always wanna look not-so-pale so i chose the #03 sandy beige shade and i think it's just nice for me. :) the past bb creams i've used before includes skinfood's aloe sun bb cream in #2 and thefaceshop's quick and clean bb cream. i didn't like them as much as this cos the texture for those two are thicker and skinfood's and thefaceshop's made me look very ghostly after application. (even though i applied a really thin layer!)

i think my skin does look dewy and glowy after i apply the elianto's bb cream, and i will dust a layer of powder over it. the other day i was at watson's, a promoter commented i have very good complexion. i thought she wanted to recommend me some products, but in the end she only complimented my complexion and then happily left me on my own. lols. i was wearing this bb cream with my "hello flawless" powder dusted over it, topped with my ettusais blush. :p

so i guess this is not bad huh?

2) Benefit "Hello Flawless" powder in HONEY

this is damn cool. i actually am very in love with it, cos the shade fits my now-tanner skin tone. it can be applied with either the brush or sponge (both are included in the purchase. when used with brush, it's for a lighter coverage; when used with sponge, it's for a heavier coverage.) i actually just brush the powder with the brush over my face after i apply the BB cream and the oil-control of it is pretty good. :)

3) Ettusais blush in PK1

i bought this partly because i wanted that pink polka-dotted luggage. haha. but it's a pretty good blusher nonetheless. i alternate between this and my chanel blush. im aiming for dior's blush in strawberry sorbet after i finish chanel's. :p but this will remain as one of my off-to-school staple cos it's cheaper (S$29), good and very compact in size.

4) Nivea Hydro Care lip balm

this is a really good lip balm cos a portion of my lower lip has been dry and cracked recently. i bought this and it really moisturizes and helped to heal my lips within 2 days! :p plus it gives a nice glossy effect after application, so being the lazy me... i can skip my lip gloss. haha.

5) Skinfood Agave Cactus Cream (Light)

initially when i saw this, i was quite apprehensive. firstly, it was too expensive at S$59.90. secondly, even though i was looking for a more hydrating moisturizer for my sensitive skin to use as a night cream, the whitening properties of this cream kinda put me off (even though it has anti-wrinkle properties which sounds attractive). the last thing i want was for my pale-looking face to look more ghostly. but anyway, i took a risk, bought this and started using it yday. i think it's really good and hydrating. :) and my sensitive skin didn't have an allergic reaction to this! yay.

was in town today cos i felt like basking in the xmas mood a little. shopped a little at tangs cos i wanna get a loose/pressed powder to dust over a new BB cream i bought. (im back into trying BB creams cos i think they actually help improve complexion!) in the end, i bought benefit's "hello flawless" pressed powder in the "I'm cute as a bunny" HONEY shade. hee. it's my very first purchase from benefit! the name sounds damn girlish. hope it's good. :p

Benefit's "Hello Flawless"

and then met darling and we had lunch at Ion. i couldn't help but visit the benefit counter at Ion's Sephora, cos i was so attracted to their girlish packaging and stuffs. lols. i tested one of the fragrances and i was really addicted to it cos i tink it smells like candy floss. and i love candy floss! teeheehee. it's called 'my place or yours gina' in the black bottle (the one on the right). :p the packaging spells c-u-t-e. i can go ohmygawdddd over it.

walking along Orchard Road makes me realise there are so many interesting christmas trees in town this year...

the xmas tree hut outside Ion.

wish it's mine... hee.

the lights inside the xmas tree hut is enchanting. :)

did i mention i love the deco balls? esp the purple ones. haha.

another xmas tree we saw was the mock ferrero rocher one outside Ngee Ann City. any chocoholics would love it if it's a real one cos it'll be a lifetime supply of chocolates! i managed to snap one quick shot without any interference from passerbys.

cool huh?

and you know those reindeer decked in different costumes along orchard road? here are a few i like... :p

the one wearing a xmas tree-like dress! :p

the one with the funky-looking dress in a chicken-like pose.

okayy. i tried mimicking the reindeer's pose and des said i look like a chicken. so i decided to pose his pic up instead.

the final 2 things that amazed me today was when i was at 313 somerset's food republic. the first thing was wat des said when he came back with a tray of 2 teh pengs and 1 spicy shrimp toast bread from ToastBox.

des: ToastBox is like a high-class kopitiam. The people don't go there and order "2 teas with less sugar please". Instead, they would just say the usual "2 teh c xiu dai" (less sugar in hokkien).

i couldn't agree more with that statement.

the last thing that amazed me was ...

2 girls wearing silver xmas hats and riding on a motor selling canned drinks at food republic.

i had never seen this before so i was pretty fascinated by the 2 girls. cos it's so hip and cool to be riding on that motor selling drinks to the patrons! haha. and des compared what we just saw to the older aunties pushing those drink trolleys at Ion's foodcourt selling canned drinks. LOLS. wat a great contrast!

*drum rolls*

i finally bought my very first Gucci bag at the age of 23!!!!!

i love xmas sales! :)

my first Gucci bag... :p

it was random that i chanced upon the Gucci sale today, cos i have never taken particular notice on their advertisements or hearsay of their upcoming sales from friends. so when i saw a short queue outside Paragon's Gucci outlet, i kind of knew instinctively there is a sale since there will only be a queue if there is a sale at Gucci.

went in and saw the bag sitting on the shelf. i kinda knew i had to get it. though i like the bigger version of this, i always found the size a little too big. so anyway, i got it at a 30% discount! whee!
honestly i usually dont give a hoot about people carrying those huge Gucci carriers walking around town. but i realise today that people do stare at my huge Gucci carrier as i was shopping around Ngee Ann City. hmms.

branding does matter these days huh?

Wednesday, December 02, 2009

met up with irene and wanyie to catch the movie 'new moon'. haha. i tink it's a movie not to be missed. though im not a twilight fanatic, i think this movie definitely has left an impact on me. partly cos of the sizzling hot werewolf. lols. it's a nice experience catching a movie with my gals, it's damn hilarious cos i got so hyped up over the half-naked werewolf and wanyie just kept rolling her eyes away at my excitement. :x

at sushi tei for dinner (again). we got caught up in the toga craze, as u can see. :p

from the previous outing. i love the background. :p

went shopping for some ettusais stuffs at BHG yday, cos my makeup base and concealor from ettusais is finishing up soon. :p and since ettusais was giving out a luggage bag with min. $118 spent, i decided to replenish my makeup stash.

my ettusais loots from BHG yday.

the cute luggage bag which comes free with min. $118 purchase. yay. darling says it looks like a strawberry. :(

a happy me. :)
