another weekend, almost gone. can't wait for tml to come and my last 2 observations will finally be cleared. :p im gradually getting used to teaching. the boys are quite endearing actually. since i can be quite a tomboyish kind of gal at times, it's easy to mingle with the boys once they are familiar with me. friday was sports day, and it really was a day for everyone to mingle and relax while watching the runners compete under the sweltering sun at the bedok stadium. after the sports day was over, all the teachers were invited for lunch at sakura @ downtown east for free (which is covered under the staff welfare fund). :p im not a very buffet person but i helped myself to lots of fresh salmon sashimi. oishi! :) met des for dinner at parkway in the evening and saw a student there. im not teaching his class but he was very polite and called out to me "hi ma'm". lols. and told me i ran really fast. (cos there was a teacher-student race and i was pulled into running for my house) my house came in 2nd anyway. :) things can only get better. even though the workload of a teacher is heavy, im loving this big La Sallean family more and more. :p [current favourite song on my hitlist: Forgive me by Leona Lewis]

on saturday, i went with my boys to the national library for their performance. had a hard time chasing them to change their costumes (p.s. i couldn't change their costumes for them cos they are all boys). (: below is their performance. honestly, it's the first time the boys are performing something other than Indian dance which the dance troupe evolved from last year. personally, i feel it already is an amazing feat for the boys to perform something like this, especially when the other boys in school associate dance with gayness. it will take some time to be able to get more boys to join dance for their cca, but for now i think this is an amazing piece considering the fact that 5 idiots didn't turn up. LOLs. |
